A motorbike rider tragically lost his life after being struck by a train while attempting to cross the railway tracks at Avenor on the evening of February 24, 2025.
The incident, which occurred around 5:30 p.m., resulted in the rider’s immediate death at the scene. Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcyclist tried to navigate the tracks but was unable to avoid the oncoming train.
Authorities have been alerted and are working to trace the victim’s relatives for identification and collection of the body.
Further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
