appointment of Abigail Hale to fill the Trustee Area 2 vacancy, representing the Westwood
Unified School District. Hale was officially appointed during the Board’s meeting on March
12, 2025, and will serve the remainder of the term, bringing her experience and dedication to the
role.
Born and raised in Lassen County, Hale is deeply connected to the local education system,
having grown up in the Lassen County school system. She is committed to ensuring that the
district’s budget is used effectively and efficiently, prioritizing well-funded programs and
resources that directly benefit students and educators.
Lassen County Superintendent of Schools, Patricia Gunderson, welcomed Hale to the Board,
