HIS club side reportedly scared off Celtic back in January by sticking a £12.5m price tag on his head and saying they wanted to hold onto him until the summer at least.
But Lazio’s Denmark winger Gustav Isaksen issued a stunning reminder of what he could bring to Brendan Rodgers’ team – or any team for that matter – when he came up with a remarkable 98th minute winner away to Viktoria Plzen.

The 23-year-old winger – who is under contract until 2028 – has been consistently linked with a move to the Hoops.
But much more of this and he could be out of their transfer reach for good, even if Dermot Desmond has shown more willing to loosen the purse strings for the right player recently than at many points in the club’s history.
The Italians had it all to do when they lost Samuel Gigot to a 93rd minute red card after the earlier dismissal of Nicolo Rovella in the Czech Republic.
The two teams were locked at 1-1 as this Conference League last 16 tie went into injury time after Alessio Romagnoli‘s opener for the Romans was cancelled out by Rafio Durosimni.
But Isaksen sparkling run as he weaved in off the right flank to fire an unerring left foot finish high into the top corner was perhaps THE goal of the night in Europe.
A thrilled Marco Baroni hailed the performance of his star man, saying: “Isaksen’s performance was no surprise for me, he is getting better and better.
“He played on both sides of the pitch. The result is very important for us.”
“I prepared my team for the style of play that we needed for this game.
“It was a tough game for us, we had to work hard. We had to defend well especially after we went down to nine men. The winning goal was a reward for our belief.”
Plzeň coach Miroslav Koubek was left cursing his side’s carelessness.

He said: “We played carelessly at the end. Isaksen was not double-marked, when he beat Jemelka we needed another player to cover his left foot. We knew how dangerous he could be.”
