Aldi Ireland fans set to love ‘stylish’ new Stanley dupes – and they come in three colours

ALDI Ireland fans are set to love “stylish” new Stanley dupes in the middle aisle – and they come in three colours.

The bargain supermarket is launching stainless steel bottles for €7.99 this week.

Three insulated travel mugs in different colors.

And they are the perfect dupe of the major brand that took the internet by storm.

Stanley’s Quencher Protour Flip Straw Tumbler is priced at €55.

Aldi’s new travel cup offers three positions to drink from: a straw opening, a drink opening, and a full cover.

It comes with comfort grips on the handle to make it easier to carry, and the bottom fits most cup holders perfectly – excellent for cars and the gym.

The cup has a capacity of 880 millilitres and it helps keep the drink cold or hot.

And it’s available throughout Aldi’s Irish stores tomorrow.

Their website reads: “Stay hydrated on the go with this stylish stainless-steel bottle.”

The bottles come in three gorgeous colours: cream, grey and blue.

The dupe version has double-wall insulation that helps keep the drink hot or cold for hours.

It is also BPA free – a chemical found in plastics that has been linked to hormonal disruptions.

However, the Stanley Cup can contain up to 1.2 litres – 0.320 ml more than the dupe version, and it offers a vast range of colour options.

The original also has a powder coat finish and FlowState technology.

Aldi’s version is expected to sell out quickly, so savvy shoppers must be quick.

This follows Aldi Ireland fans’ excitement over new matching kitchen staples in the middle aisle, with prices from €14.99.

Matching kitchen staples

The bargain supermarket has matching Textured Kettle & Toasters in stores this week.

It reads on their website: “Add some style and functionality to your kitchen with these Textured Kettle & Toaster essentials.”

The bargain buy has a capacity of 1.7 litres, making it perfect for the whole family.

The toaster also comes with three features: reheat, defrost, and a stop button.

A detachable crumb tray is also included.

What’s more, the matching set comes in three different colours – blue, white or yellow.

THE HISTORY OF ALDI

The German discount supermarket chain came to Ireland in 1999.

Aldi’s first few shops opened in November 1999, with locations in Sandyford, Dublin, and Ballincollig, Cork.

By the mid-2000s, Aldi bosses had opened numerous stores, focusing on providing high-quality products at low prices.

As the recession hit 2008-2012, Aldi’s popularity grew as consumers became more price-conscious.

The supermarket giant continued it’s expansion in Ireland between 2013-2018, while refurbishing existing stores.

By 2018, Aldi had over 130 shops throughout the country.

The chain began to focus on expanding its range of Irish-made products and supporting local producers.

In 2023, Aldi had over 140 stores in Ireland.

The store invested in sustainability initiatives, such as reducing plastic packaging and increasing the availability of organic and eco-friendly products.

Aldi chiefs said: “At Aldi we are committed to supporting Irish suppliers. Developed in partnership with Bord Bia, Grow with Aldi is designed to help the very best Irish suppliers develop their brand.

“To date, we’ve invested €10 million in our Grow with Aldi development programme in a bid to find the very best Irish suppliers.

“As a result, for a limited time only there are over 47 new products, from 27 Irish suppliers available in store.”

Aldi have introduced technological advancements with self-checkout systems and contactless payment options.
