The show will run from 7am to 10am on weekdays.

And as Kathryn admitted to some first day jitters, even revealing she set three alarms to make it to the studio on time, she had support from dancer Arthur Gourounlian.

The radio host played a sweet message from the Dancing With The Stars judge on the morning show.

Arthur said: “Sending you a message to say good luck good luck, good luck with your new radio show on Q102.

“This is beyond exciting I’m so proud of you. You’re absolutely going to smash this.”

And Ireland’s Fittest Family coach and former rugby star Donnacha O’Callaghan also showed his support for Kathryn on her first morning.

He said: “Hi Kathyrn. It’s Donnacha O’Callaghan here, your second favourite coach on Ireland’s Fittest Family.

“I just wanted to wish you the very best of luck with your brilliant new breakfast show.

“We always said it in the rugby a great breakfast leads to a great day so have a brilliant one and see you soon. Best of luck.”

And Kathryn gave an insight into her “fancy” new studio as she got the breakfast show underway.

She said: “My first day in the chair today. I have to say my new studio, it’s very fancy. It’s got lots of lights and screens and buttons which I’m not entirely sure how to use yet but we will get there.

“I’ve a very anxious producer who is sitting across the desk from me. His hands are slightly sweaty but he’s still smiling, let’s hope that’s the case by the time we get to 10 O’Clock.”

She continued: “Also there’s lots of cameras on too and that’s because we can put up bits of the show on social because we know it’s all abot the gram, it’s all about TikTok.

“Gone are the days in radio that you could just turn up in your trackies, no bra on and people would be none the wiser.

“But today, for day one I’m washed and I’m fully clothed you’ll be pleased to hear.”

FAMILY MOMENTS

And as to not to miss out on the school run the mum-of-two set up a live mic in her house to tune in on the little ones heading out the door.

Kathryn played some clips of her husband Padraig getting daughters Ellie and Grace ready for school.

And as Kathryn got her first show underway her daughters tempted to push their luck with their mum out of the house.

Her little one asked: “Dad maybe this morning we can have Coco Pops instead of porridge because mum’s not here.”

Kathryn laughed: “Ah yes they know how to work their daddy.”
