Kaizer Chiefs have gone deep into the 2025/26 pre-season with big ambitions, but there’s expected confirmation on the future of captain Yusuf Maart.
All signs now point to an announcement that could signal a major change in leadership and coach Nasreddine Nabi’s starting line-up.
Maart has been noticeably absent from the pre-season training camp in the Netherlands. Sources close to the player have said discussions with Austria’s SV Ried are all but concluded, with the Kaizer Chiefs star doing his medical test in Austria on Sunday.

In the meantime, the club has signed a replacement in Siphesihle Ndlovu, while Azam FC’s Feisal Salum is also expected to arrive once the Maart sale has been sealed.
