RTE star Blathnaid Treacy has treated herself to a makeover after feeling “run down” and being forced to miss work
The 2FM host recently announced she was expecting her second child with husband Charlie Moon – and while her pregnancy has been smooth sailing, her immune system has taken a hit.
Blathnaid, who presents the weekend show on 2FM from 9am to 12pm, was forced to miss work after she “totally lost her voice”.
In a video posted to her Instagram, the mum-of-one admitted: “I am slowly falling apart. I’ve had such a nice pregnancy so far and I’ve felt great all the way up until now.”
The 36-year-old continued: “Between the heatwave and Nancy not sleeping and my immune system obviously being low because I’m pregnant, I’ve picked up a bug.
“I’ve totally lost my voice and I’m on antibiotics, I couldn’t go into work yesterday and I couldn’t speak, like what the hell.”
Despite feeling poorly, the radio star decided to pamper herself with a trip to the hair salon for a revamp.
The popular presenter took to Instagram later to show off the finished look and it’s safe to say fans were obsessed.
Blathnaid went from a shoulder length ash blonde look to a cropped blunt bob with golden highlights.
The Bray native looked stunning as she posed in the sunshine with her new do.
The Irish host wrote in her caption: “Chop chop… the bob is back.”
Blathnaid confessed that she “needed a wee pick-me-up” after her illness.
She added: “If you were listening to me on Saturday, you’ll have heard my voice slowly disappearing, had to take yesterday off.
“I’m so run down at the moment.. combination of being preggo, not sleeping because Nancy isn’t sleeping and just life!”

Blathnaid gushed over her shorter look as she swooned: “I think this is my fav version of this style so far! Anything to make me feel a bit better.”
