Kathryn will kick off each weekday morning with her show at 7am, on February 5, when Ryan Tubridy will take over the airwaves until 1pm.

Today, she took to her Instagram to give fans a detailed look around the newly renovated studio for the gig.

Walking into Q102’s Dublin offices, she excitedly told fans: “Ok, so you fancy a little tour of my new studio space? Come and have a look.”

Before revealing her studio, Kathryn stood outside the door and said: “The whole Q102 team have done so much work on this.”

Entering the room she made a jovial noise as she proudly showed off her sleek new studio.

Sitting at her desk, Kathryn gushed: “This is my new studio, I love it. The Morning Show with Kathryn Thomas on Dublin’s Q102. It’s bright, it’s yellow, it’s blue and fresh.

“Look at the photo, they’ve touched it up, I’m not complaining I look ten years younger. I can’t wait to get started.”

To show off her new studio, Kathryn donned a chic pink cheetah midi dress from Next.

The stunning frock’s price on their site has been slashed from its original price of €58 – down to just €24.

Kathryn captioned her post: “And…. It’s showtime! Kathryn Thomas on Q102 from February 5th! We think she looks right at home! Don’t you?”

Friends and fans raced to the popular presenter’s comment section to gush over her exciting new role.

RTE presenter Anna Daly wrote: “Looks slick Kathryn – very best of luck.”

Former telly host Mary Kennedy remarked: “Best of luck Kathryn. You’ll be brill.”

GIVING IT HER ALL

One fan said: “The excitement is emanating from you! Will tune in, best of luck.”

 Shane added: “So exciting.”

Speaking about her new role, Kathryn told The Irish Sun: “I really want to give it my all, create something great and enjoy taking on this new challenge.

“Getting to put my own stamp and creative licence on this show is so exciting. I am really looking forward to working on RTE television projects in 2025 too.”

She added: “We want The Morning Show with Kathryn Thomas to be a laid back, fresh listen that will brighten up your day, no matter what side of the bed you get out of.

“Irish people are the best in the world for good chats and chinwags and there’s no-one better than the Dubs for a bit of banter. So I’m thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to be a small but important part of people’s day.”
