SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER did his best Happy Gilmore impression at the Scottish Open – just weeks before the release of the sequel to the ’90s classic.
The missing of a simple putt for a birdie on the par-four 13th at Royal Portrush led Scheffler to channel his inner Adam Sandler and blow his lid, albeit jokingly, at the ball.

Scheffler‘s putt went agonisingly to the left of the hole and prompted the American to raise his hands in frustration.
He then, in ‘Happy Gilmore’ style, turned to the ball with his arms stretched out as if he was asking why it didn’t go in.
The World No.1 clearly saw the funny side of the miss before tapping home to record a par.
He may have channelled his inner ‘Happy Gilmore’ with his hand gestures and body language, but Scheffler didn’t go the whole nine yards.
In the film ‘Gilmore’, of course, shouted at the ball after missing a simple shot in one of the flick’s most iconic scenes.
He yelled: “Son of a b**** ball, why didn’t you just go home? “That’s your home!
“Are you too good for your home?”
Scheffler’s missed putt on the 13th contributed to his finishing joint eighth at the Renaissance Club alongside Ludvig Aberg and Xander Schauffele with a score of nine-under.

American Chris Gotterup shocked golf fans by pipping Rory McIlroy to the trophy to win only his second tour title.
He said of his victory: “I feel like a lot of people say that the second one is harder just because you have expectations and whatnot.
“It’s definitely more [of] a validation this week. Myrtle Beach was amazing.
“But this one, I feel like I’ve been talking to my team about I want to take the next step, and I feel like this is part of that.”
