The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the 2025 Internship Programme under the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo – Beef Recording and Improvement Scheme. Successful candidates will be placed across all 9 provinces on a 2-year contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver animal recording and improvement services to smallholder farmers
- Train and recruit farmers under the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo Beef Scheme
- Conduct on-farm visits for recording and performance monitoring
- Train new participants in various scheme phases
- Participate in focus sessions and meetings with farmers
- Compile herd statistics and livestock performance indicators
- Support provincial farmer support teams
- Submit detailed monthly reports
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Animal Production
- Willingness and ability to travel to farms and rural villages
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good interpersonal and human relations skills
NB: Applicants must choose only one province where they wish to be placed.
