The Champions League holders ran riot at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium as they stormed into a 2-0 lead after just nine minutes.
Mbappe and Co were left stunned as they failed to find a response on a dismal afternoon.
But the Frenchman’s outing had already got off to a bad start long before kick-off.
The game was delayed by 10 minutes due to PSG and Real being hit by heavy traffic on their way from Manhattan.
It forced both sides into a rushed warm-up.
And the blood appeared to go to Mbappe’s head as he lashed a ball at goal.
However, the strike missed the target and instead ended up clobbering a volunteer in the head.
The stricken man fell to the ground clutching his face in agony.

One fan said: “Good man.”
Another declared: “Setting the standard.”
One noted: “Always a class act.”
Another added: “Respect.”
Yesterday’s result saw PSG book their place in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea.
The Blues beat Brazilians Fluminense 2-0 on Tuesday.
But after defeating Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in Europe this year, PSG go in as heavy favourites.
The French champs have also beaten Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in the past few months.
And they will be hoping to add another prestigious scalp to the collection on Sunday.
