MIKEY JOHNSTON is flying to Austria instead of Brazil after a proposed move to Flamengo collapsed.
The Ireland international was due to fly to Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday to finalise a move after Flamengo agreed a £5million fee with West Brom.

But a backlash from fans and doubts within the club about the wisdom of the signing prompted Flamengo to pull the plug on the deal for the 26-year-old.
Johnston’s injury history has been cited as a reason why they decided not to proceed but the Glaswegian has largely put them behind him.
Last season, the winger accumulated a career-high of 2,121 minutes for West Brom, after he joined them on a permanent basis following an impressive spell on loan from Celtic.
Johnston has three years remaining on his contract at The Hawthorns and will now join the Baggies on their pre-season camp in Austria in the hope of impressing new boss Ryan Mason.
