As many know, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were pictured numerous times together, with many assuming romance was blooming. However, after the third time they were spotted together, sources reveal a friendship is blossoming instead, all with a potential movie collaboration on the horizon. However, during the time when everyone had nothing but questions, sources allege that her ex Ben Affleck was feeling some regret.
While insiders claim Affleck wants a second chance with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, insiders also alleged to DailyMail this week that he’s regretting his and Armas’ breakup. In fact, those sources claimed that if they worked out their problems, he believes he could have “dodged the JLo bullet,” referring to his dramatic two year marriage with his ex Jennifer Lopez.
Armas and Affleck first met in 2019 while filming the psychological thriller Deep Water in New Orleans. Within only a few months, they went on vacations together and went Instagram-official. However, just as quickly as they got together, it all suddenly ended in Jan 2021. Sources told People that their breakup was due to all the prying eyes, and de Armas not wanting to live in Los Angeles, saying, “She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn’t want to be Los Angeles-based, and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles.”
However, the same sources at DailyMail claimed there was another reason why they split: marriage. Apparently, their romance ended “because she wanted marriage, and he did not;” which confuses fans a lot since he married Lopez soon after he and Armas broke up.
“Ben and Ana had such a special and unique relationship because they were holed up together 24/7 during the pandemic,” an insider said to the outlet. “They got so close so fast, and it was passionate and real.”
However, a reconciliation doesn’t seem to be in the cards for them since Armas is taken. No, Armas isn’t with Cruise, but she is reportedly dating Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.
