IRELAND AM star Eric Roberts has shared the emotional moment he surprised his nephew with his favourite toy after a nationwide search.
The Donegal native’s nephew, Oisin, 18, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism as a child, and Eric often calls him an “absolute warrior”.
Eric has an incredible relationship with his nephew and often shares snippets of their adventures on social media.
Recently, the TikTok star put out a notice to his followers as he was on the hunt for a specific toy that Oisin had been talking about for over six months.
The 34-year-old told fans the toy was called “crazy fruit” and emphasised how he had searched far and wide for the plush toy, without any success.
Eric hoped that “the power of the internet” would help to find the toy for his nephew – and to his delight, it did!
The popular presenter shared a video on Instagram today, revealing that not only had he tracked down the toy online, but he’d also been flooded with dozens of “crazy fruit” toys sent by generous fans.
The dad-of-two then announced that he would surprise Oisin with the toys when he returned home from school.
Later, Eric captured the amazing moment Oisin saw the toys for the first time.
The youngster was totally shocked to see the toy he had talked about for months right in front of his eyes.
Oisin put his hands on his head and squealed in delight as Eric put his arm around him.
In the special video, Oisin held on to the fruit toy and smiled from ear-to-ear.
A tearful Eric kissed Oisin on the cheek as the youngster said: “I’m so happy.”
The colourful toys were shaped like apples and strawberries and had funny faces stitched on to them.
Oisin studied the toy closely and laughed out loud as he noticed the eyes moved in circles.

Eric penned in his caption: “One happy man! Thank you internet.”
Fans were all left feeling emotional after watching the beautiful moment.
