PARTS of Ireland are set to see wet and cloudy weather conditions persist over the weekend before dry conditions hit.
Another “unsettled” weather front with rain and clouds has hit Ireland again and will persist over the coming days, with no heatwave on the horizon as Europe battles with scorching temperatures.

Taking to X, Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather said: “Here comes the rain again. Rain has arrived in parts of West and North and will slowly move down the country but weakening as it does.
“Wind increasing through the morning with a very breezy afternoon ahead. Weekend will be breezy and cloudy with patchy spells of rain.”
Met Eireann’s Linda Hughes warned that the weather will remain “fairly unsettled” today and at times during the weekend.
She said: “The weather will be fairly unsettled today and at times during the weekend, but it will improve gradually through Sunday and for the start of next week.”
This morning, there will be some bright spells occurring in the East and South at first, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle are expected in the North and the West, which will spread south-easterwards through the day.
The weather expert revealed that the rain “will turn heavy” in the west, and it will become quite windy with a moderate to fresh, occasionally strong and gusty south-westerly wind developing.
Temperatures will reach the highs of 14C to 20C, with the south being the warmest spot across the country.
Linda added: “Tonight will be cloudy and misty with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. There’ll be some hill and coastal fog too.
“Breezy at first with a moderate to fresh and gusty West to south-west wind, easing light to moderate over night. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.”
Tomorrow is set to be a “mostly dull day” with patchy light rain and drizzle on the cards for the country.
Linda revealed that the south and east will be the best areas to get sunny spells, where it “will be warm and humid” tomorrow amid the unsettled weather conditions, with cloudy conditions forecasted.
Highest temperatures will range between 14C in the north-west and 22C in the south-east in a moderate westerly breeze.
Sunday will be cloudy to begin with, some scattered outbreaks of rain or drizzle, before it brightens up through the afternoon and evening with sunny spells and scattered showers.
It will reach the highs of 14C to 20C before dropping down to temperatures of 9C to 13C.
WEATHER SHAKE-UP
In a major weather shake-up, nearly dry conditions are expected on Sunday night and will remain throughout the beginning of the week, with some isolated showers.
Most places will stay dry on Monday, but it’ll be rather cloudy with occasional sunny intervals.
The highest temperatures range from 14 to 20 degrees before dropping to 9 to 12 degrees.
And Tuesday is expected to be another dry day with cloudy conditions, with Linda warning there may be a “few isolated showers”.
Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees with a light to moderate west to southwest breeze.
