About the Internship Programme
Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), through its Financial Services Cluster (Budget Office, Internal Audit, and Risk Management), is offering eight (8) internship opportunities under the FMG Interns Programme. The internship aims to provide experiential or work-based learning within the municipal financial management environment to enhance skills capacity and employability.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of a B. Degree or National Diploma in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Economics
- Risk Management
- Auditing
- Digital skills as an additional subject will be an advantage.
- Must be between the ages of 18 – 35.
- No prior participation in an internship or learnership programme.
Competencies
- Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Information Systems
- Digital Skills
- Time Management
Duties
- Work-based learning aligned with financial management in a local government setting.
- Interns will undergo a fully funded, structured, and accredited Municipal Finance Management Programme during the internship period.
- A 24-month fixed-term contract will be signed. Interns are expected to exit the programme upon completion.
