Mossel Bay Municipality invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for its Financial Management Internship Programme 2025.
Internship Application Closing Date: 11 July 2025 (13h00)
Internship Location: Mossel Bay Municipality, Western Cape, South Africa
Duration: 12 months (with possible extension to a maximum of 3 years)
Stipend: R100 000 per annum (all-inclusive package)
About the Internship Programme
The internship forms part of the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) — a National Treasury initiative aimed at strengthening financial management capacity within local government.
Interns will receive structured professional training, practical experience, and participate in a mentorship-driven programme across all functions of the Budget and Treasury Office in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Act 56 of 2003.
Preference will be given to applicants residing within Mossel Bay municipal boundaries.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen with valid Code B driver’s license (manual vehicle)
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) majoring in:
- Economics
- Accounting or Finance
- Internal Auditing
- Risk Management
- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Note: Your qualification must be completed at the time of application.
