With Orlando Pirates having secured the services of Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis, the Buccaneers are looking like a team to beat this coming season.
The 23-year-old was announced as Pirates’ latest signing on Wednesday afternoon. He joins eight other new players who were unveiled last week by the Soweto giants.
Having lost the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup and CAF Champions League last season in the final two months of the campaign, the Sea Robbers have strengthened their team with quality players.
How will Orlando Pirates look this coming season?
With new players and a new coach, expect the Buccaneers to play a different brand of football. While their defence won’t change much, expect more changes in the middle of the park and upfront.
Relebohile Mofokeng is set to leave the club in the coming weeks, opening up space for Tshepang Moremi and Oswin Appollis. In midfield, Sipho Mbule should easily stamp his authority, benching the likes of Thalente Mbatha and Kabelo Dlamini.

Mamelodi Sundowns are looking sharp and with their Club World Cup experience, expect them to be more fired up this coming season. The Buccaneers should win at least 20 league matches if they are to match the Brazilians.
