A BRIDE’S mother-in-law has been slammed for wearing a white, lace dress to her wedding.
But if you thought it was just the colour and style of the frock that has left people fuming, you’ll need to think again.

Posting on Reddit, on the r/weddingshaming thread, a social media user shared a snap of a family wedding picture that has gone viral online.
The anonymous poster uploaded the image under the username @NoSuspect3509 and wrote: “The bride’s MIL.
“Not a real surprise to anyone lol.”
In the snap, viewers could see the bride, wearing a floorlength white gown and the groom, who wore what appeared to be dark navy jeans, with a waistcoat.
Also in the snap was the bride’s mother-in-law, who wore a knee-length white lace dress.
Next to her is presumed to be the bride’s father-in-law, who sported denim jeans and a grey shirt.
There was also a youngster in the snap, wearing a white bridesmaid-style dress.
And not only was the groom’s mother wearing white, but she also donned a denim waistcoat, which has sent social media users wild.
Alongside the post, the user wrote: “Dressed like a bride.”
The post, which was shared just two days ago, has clearly left many totally stunned, as it has quickly racked up 2,700 likes and 234 comments.
Social media users eagerly raced to the comments to share their thoughts on the mother-in-law’s outfit, which people described as a “fashion tragedy.”
Not only this, but others cruelly described the look as “hideous” and thought it was a “crime.”

One person said: “I find her jean vest to be a crime in itself. If you’re going to commit a crime, only do one at a time.”
Another added: “Is the jean vest supposed to be worse than the jeans? They both look out of place and low effort!”

- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.

- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.
A third rudely commented: “She must have had one heck of a brain fart when she added that jean vest to her inappropriate white lace wedding ensemble. It’s a fashion tragedy!”
Not only this, but someone else slammed: “Denim over lace for a MIL dress. It looks just like it sounds, hideous.”
Meanwhile, another user described the look as “so ugly”, whilst one person cried: “So much denim it hurts my eyes.”
