Bayern showed interest in Diaz but they have been turned down by Liverpool.

It is claimed the Premier League champions have told Bayern sporting director Max Eberl that the winger is not for sale.

That has ended discussions between the two clubs.

Liverpool also rejected Barcelona’s effort to sign Diaz last month.

The Colombian confessed he had held talks with clubs, suggesting it was normal activity in the transfer window.

But he also confirmed he was in negotiations with Liverpool and waiting for the club to make him a “good offer”.

Diaz, who was thought to have a £70million asking price, said: “The market is open and we’re trying to sort out what’s best for us.

“We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal.

“I’m very happy at Liverpool. From day one, they’ve made me feel really welcome.

“Right now we’re in contact with them because we’re speaking with other clubs.

“I am just waiting to see what happens. If Liverpool don’t make a good offer, I still have two years left with them, I would be happy to stay there.

“It’s up to them. I am just waiting to see what happens. Everything depends on them.

“Obviously, it’s up to me to decide what’s best for the future.”
