About the FirstJob Graduate Programme
The FirstJob Programme is a development initiative by FirstRand (FNB) designed to help unemployed youth gain valuable workplace exposure. The programme enables selected graduates to contribute to business processes, projects, and operations while building their professional skills through structured training.
Programme Objectives
As a Graduate Trainee, successful applicants will:
- Deliver on predefined work objectives that support business needs
- Perform research, administration, analysis, and project work
- Demonstrate quality and excellence in task execution
- Participate in knowledge sharing across teams and stakeholders
- Create and manage their own development plans
- Adhere to FirstRand’s shared values and ethics
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 34 years
- Hold a relevant post-matric qualification (Diploma or Degree)
- Have been unemployed for at least the last 6 months
- Have no or limited work experience (less than 12 months in total, part-time or casual included)
- Must not have worked for FirstRand or participated in any FirstJob programme before
