Brian, who recently quit his role at 98FM after three years, was delighted to reveal he would be back on the airwaves so soon.

The 47-year-old hosted his first show on Today FM this morning from 9am to 12pm.

But, even though the star is a seasoned radio host, he still confessed to being nervous before the gig.

Taking to Instagram this morning, the Big Brother star said: “It’s my first day in for Dave Moore and Jen Zamparelli is in the following week.

“I’m a little bit nervous, but I think its good nerves and once I get the first show out of the way I’ll be fine.”

The dad-of-two was up bright and early at 6am to get ready before the show.

He added: “I just want to be prepared. But I’ll be chatting to you guys from 9 to 12, see you in a bit.”

And it’s safe to say Brian’s first show went smoothly as he returned to his Instagram story afterwards to share his thoughts.

The TV star gushed: “Thank you all so much for your gorgeous messages regarding my guest slot in for Dave Moore.

“I honestly had so much fun, but I’m not going to lie I was very nervous because I was doing it on my own.

“It was a lot of pressure, but the team there basically held my hand through it. It did not feel like three hours. I had a blast.”

Next week, Dancing With The Stars host Jennifer Zamparelli will be taking over from Brian for the 9 to 12 slot.

Jennifer recorded a video of herself and Brian in the Today FM studio last week and said that she’s “very disappointed” that they won’t be co-hosting the show together.

DYNAMIC DUO

Brian replied: “They lied to us.”

Jennifer joked: “Who is the boss? We thought we were doing it together.”

Brian added: “I think they’re afraid to put us together.”

Jennifer responded: “It would be too good I think. That would be f***ing magic, wouldn’t it?”

While Dave, who looked very excited to be going on his holidays, shared a farewell video to his listeners showing off Brian and Jen saying: “My presenters are here, my replacements are here.

“Look after them, will you? Have a good time, I’ll be on the beach.”
