Erica and Nora convinced Ray to let Doug have a day off to visit a wedding expo.

Meanwhile, Ray and Pete were concerned when Detective Buckley came looking for Doug to question him regarding his business with Bill Devereux.

The interaction left Pete worried it could be related to his and Paul’s dodgy car dealings with J.J.

However, Paul convinced him that he has nothing to worry about, but Ray and Nora still worried over what kind of trouble Doug could be in.

Fair City viewers raced to social media to share their reactions to tonight’s drama.

Ciara commented: “Now Pete go suck a lemon.”

Pamela said: “Feck off Pete and go play boules.”

Another viewer added: “Doug will be on next months Crimeline.”

Elsewhere on the show, things got tense as Ger and Sharon argued over house rules.

While Carol grew frustrated with Lorcan when she arrived back from her trip to a messy house.

Later, Liam surprised Carol when he revealed that he and Sharon had a thing – but it has since ended.

After Ruby passed her exams, things grew awkward when Lorcan attempted to swing an invite to their family-only celebration dinner.

And things got worse, when Lorcan turned up late to The Station, Ruby gave Carol a hand clearing the tables.

WORK BLUES

Carol snapped at Lorcan for slacking at work, while Liam was affronted when Sharon tried to offer him love life advice.

Later, Liam meddled with Carol and J.J. when he revealed that he was friends with Carol’s ex – Billy Meehan.

After upsetting Carol, J.J. apologised for not telling her sooner and confronted Liam for trying to drop him in it with Carol.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown, Kim, Nikki and Sean were worried that Cass’s Michael Collin’s teaspoon speech was going to be a bore.

So the group convinced Cass to give the speech to the local historical society before the museum, so he could get some feedback.
