PETER O’MAHONY starred alongside a nemesis-turned-teammate in the Barbarians’ “most requested picture” before their match against South Africa.
O’Mahony, 35, has travelled 13,000km from home for Saturday’s game against the Springboks which will be his final match before retirement.

He is one of three Ireland legends on the panel, alongside Cian Healy and Conor Murray.
It will be a last hurrah for O’Mahony and Healy, who are both retiring from rugby, while Murray will be moving abroad.
Another eye-catching addition is New Zealand great Sam Cane, who had an infamous bust-up with the Munster flanker during Ireland’s 2022 Test series win over the All Blacks.
Tempers flared during the 23-12 win in Dunedin which saw Andy Farrell‘s men draw the test series level.
But It was an exchange between Peter O’Mahony and Sam Cane that stole plenty of attention
O’Mahony took aim at the New Zealand skipper by telling him he wasn’t on the level of Richie McCaw.
The dynamic flankers were involved in an altercation before O’Mahony’s comments were caught on the referee’s mic.
He could be heard saying: “Who do you think you are?
“You’re a s*** Richie McCaw, pal.”
This infamous exchange was played up by the Barbarians when posting a photo of the pair together in training.
The Baa Baas said: “Our most requested picture to post this week. No idea why”.
Fans made light of the saga in the comments, with one saying: “Is that Richie?? They both look a bit like him …. almost but not fully Rich!”
A second posted: “Would laugh if at the end of the week Sam says “Pete as captains go you were a s***…”
A third simply commented: “IYKYK” and a fourth quipped: “Peter and a s*** Richie McCaw?”
Despite being far from home, the dad-of-three has remained attentive to his garden, going so far as to spy on his wife’s tending to it.
Such has been his interest that he shared a screengrab from a surveillance camera of the mum-of-three tending to plants on her birthday.
Jess responded to this by remarking how “Pierre gives no days off from gardening”.
She subsequently posted a photo of a Facetime call with O’Mahony, although she suggested it was not between husband and wife.
Jess quipped: “Pierre Facetiming his tomatoes”.
It is a good thing that the mum-of-three has been helping out with the garden while her husband has been away considering the extensive work he recently finished on it.
