Momentum Group invites university students to apply for Actuarial Science Youth Bursary Programme 2026

Momentum Group is inviting passionate and high-achieving students to apply for its Actuarial Science Youth Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. With over 24 years of commitment to developing actuarial professionals, this programme is designed to ease the financial burden of actuarial students already enrolled in university.
What the Bursary Covers
Successful applicants will receive:
- Full annual registration and tuition fees
- Textbook, data and general allowances
- Accommodation and meal allowances (where applicable)
- Travel allowance (where applicable)
- Access to mentorship, vacation work, and networking opportunities within the Momentum Group
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently enrolled in one of the following degrees at a South African university:
- BSc Actuarial Science
- BBus Science Actuarial Science
- BCom Actuarial Science
- BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics
- Have successfully completed their first year of actuarial studies
- Achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 70%
- Not be receiving any other bursary funding for the academic year applied for
Note: This bursary is not open to Grade 12 learners intending to begin their first year in 2026.

Expectations from Bursary Recipients
Recipients are expected to:
- Submit documents as requested within 5 working days
- Complete their degree within the allocated university timeframe
- Pass all subjects and meet progression requirements
- Share semester academic records and expenses with Momentum
- Graduate with at least 4 exemptions by end of degree
- Commit to contributing to the actuarial profession
- Be open to joining Momentum Group after graduation
