I was tired of my dull bathroom so I spruced it up with £4 B&Q bargains – people can’t believe how ‘lush’ the glow-up is

A THRIFTY woman has left people open-mouthed with her epic bathroom glow-up on a budget.

With the costs soaring, millions of cash-strapped Brits are looking for inspiration to make their homes go from drab to fab without forking out thousands.

If you’re one of them, you’ve come to the right place, as one DIY fan, Amy Elizabeth Carter, recently shared her jaw-dropping bathroom makeover.

Amy took to the popular DIY On A Budget Official page where she proved there’s no need to spend a fortune to give your home a brand new look.

Before the epic transformation, the bathroom looked pretty plain and lacked any character, featuring a basic white bathtub, as well as what appeared to be light brown tile flooring.

But rather than having professionals quote her eye-watering sums, Amy decided to take matters into her own hands – and the glow-up has already become a major hit on Facebook.

The makeover, which cost her just £800, included chic light grey ceramic wall and floor tiles that go for just £4 for a sample at B&Q.

The timeless design instantly enhanced the space with its soft grey tones and versatile style – and according to Amy, she did everything herself.

During the gorgeous DIY makeover, the thrifty woman also attached a round LED mirror onto one of the walls – ideal for doing your make-up or taking a cheeky selfie.

Meanwhile, the black fittings, such as the radiator, went perfect with the brand new shower screen which cost her a little under £180.

Although Amy did pay an expert to colour-match the silicone, everything else was a DIY job – and you wouldn’t be able to tell that by the photos.

”Bathroom on a budget,” the Facebook user proudly wrote in the caption, as dozens flooded to comments.

Close to 40 people shared their thoughts, as more than 100 gave the post a like.

One mum praised the young woman, writing: ”Looks beautiful. I’ve just had money done and looks nearly the same.

”I only painted tho lol as a newly single mum and had the bath ripped out and a large shower cubicle put in for my teen.
