There are countless enigmas in the world – lost cities, unsolved mysteries, unexplainable occurrences, and so on. However, there is one that continues to haunt the minds of film fanatics: who is going to be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig? Will it be the heavily reported Aaron Taylor-Johnson who takes the win, or will the people’s 007 Henry Cavill swoop in at the last minute and snag the deal for himself? The conundrum continues.

Keeping the face of the secret agent aside, it looks like the franchise is no longer stuck in a place and is finally moving ahead. How so? Well, Amazin MGM has found two producers for the next James Bond film, and let’s just say that this is big news for Spider-Man fans.
Amy Pascal and David Heyman join the next James Bond film

For those who are highly waiting for updates on James Bond‘s future, this one is for you. Amazon MGM approached Amy Pascal and David Heyman to join the highly successful franchise as producers. Yep, it’s official. Thanks to this move, the next film is going to be the first which will be produced by someone who does not belong to the Broccoli family.
Pascal’s involvement in the film will be through her production company, Pascal Pictures, and Heyman with his own Heyday Films.
Talking about this decision, Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Film, Courtenay Valenti, spoke highly of the two producers and opened up about how these two powerhouses will be essential players in the continued success of Bond.
She said (via The Hollywood Reporter),
We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility. Part of an elite group of producers who have developed and managed massive film franchises to box office success and critical acclaim, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are two of the most accomplished, experienced, and respected film producers in our industry.
Pascal is best known for her work on the Spider-Man films, ranging from 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). She is currently involved in the upcoming No Way Home sequel, as well as Beyond the Spider-Verse. Pascal has also worked as a producer on films like Ghostbusters, Venom, and Little Women.
As for Heyman, he is best known for his work on all of the eight Harry Potter films as well as its spin-off series, Fantastic Beasts. He also produced Barbie and Wonka (2023), among others. Thanks to his portfolio, Heyman is the second-most commercially successful producer of all time.
Are fans happy with the decision?

Considering the fact that both Pascal and Heyman have achieved incredible success in their respective careers, we would assume that Bond fans would love to have the two on their team.
However, it looks like the netizens aren’t too happy with the decision and are especially unsure about Pascal’s involvement in the franchise. Taking to X, many voiced their disappointment with the announcement, asking if the person responsible for titles like Morbius and Madame Web was really going to produce the next Bond film.
Take a look at some of the reactions below:
We are putting the person who gave us Morbius, Kraven, and Madame Webb over James Bond?

Time for Amy Pascal to ruin another iconic franchise

Well, while the films from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe may have fumbled badly, we cannot just overlook the other side of Pascal’s filmography. Both she and Heyman have made waves in the entertainment industry, and it is simply not fair to just dismiss them without even giving them a chance!
As the Internet debates on whether the producers are a good idea or not, most of us are just wondering who the next James Bond is going to be. After all, the decision could quite literally make or break the franchise. Will our dream to see Henry Cavill play 007 finally come true, or will someone else make a wild card entry and steal our hearts away? Well, either that or we are in for some major disappointment. Guess we will find out!
