“That’s a Summerslam match”: Bully Ray Predicts What’s Next If John Cena Wins WrestleMania 41 That Can Start a Potential Shield 2.0

The WWE universe is gearing up for WrestleMania 41. This year’s WrestleMania, however, is significant, not just for its grandeur and spark. But also because this will be the last time fans see John Cena as a professional wrestler in the ring.

As the build-up to the most anticipated event of the year continues, the WWE universe has started pondering the “what-if”, trying to make sense of the potential outcomes of WrestleMania 41.

Bully Ray, the former Dudley Boyz fame, has jumped into the conversation with an intriguing possibility regarding the outcome of the clash between Cena and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Champion title.

Bully Ray and his guest were talking about the potential results of WrestleMania 41 in the recent episode of “Busted Open Radio” when the discussion turned toward the clash between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Ray talked about the developments in WWE if John Cena were to win his 17th title and surpass Ric Flair’s record. The former tag-team champion had this to say:

“If Cena were to win? One of the matches I would love to see in the future would be Rock and Cena versus Roman and Cody,” Bully opined. “That’s a SummerSlam match. And there could be implications on that match.

Bully was also impressed by the variety of WWE characters and noted that WWE could create many more great storylines given the wide variety of characters and plots present at their disposal.

The WWE veteran also appreciated the solid foundations of the company and noted that even if Cody Rhodes loses his title at WrestleMania against John Cena, an alliance with Roman Reigns could still save his main-event superstar status in the future.

A win for Cena at WrestleMania 41 could see the revamping of the famous Shield in the WWE. If Bully’s words turn true and an alliance between Rhodes and Reigns does come to life, it could potentially mean that the iconic shield can once again turn into reality.

The trio featuring Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins was one of the most memorable team to have ever featured in the ring. The trio confronted the authority and directly challenged Triple H and his associates. However, a heel turn from Seth Rollins meant that the group could no longer continue their pursuit of challenging those in power at the WWE.

Both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have made their intentions clear of challenging the Rock, who is now the face of the authority at WWE after he joined the board of directors at TKO. The Shield garnered fame as the face of resistance against authority.

This, coupled with a potential loss for Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 could create favorable conditions for the second coming of the Shield. But will any other superstar join Rhodes and Roman as guardian angels of the WWE? Can Seth Rollins forget the heated rivalry he has with the Tribal chief and return to re-create WWE’s iconic trio with his rival-turned-friend Cody Rhodes? Only time has the answer to this question.
