Oliver Hudson is getting candid about his sex life with his wife, Erinn Bartlett.
“25 years together, sex is still like unbelievably incredible,” Hudson, 48, shared on Kristin Davis’ “Are You A Charlotte?” podcast on Monday, March 24. “It goes from like 18 times a day when you’re young, but it gets deeper and deeper and deeper as you get older.”
Hudson, who has been married to Bartlett, 52, since 2006, explained that he did a “lot of work” on himself to be more vulnerable — which ended up improving their intimacy with each other.
“What happens is for men, a little note to men, is when we are open and vulnerable like that, there’s a safety that comes from her, from Erinn … which allows her to be more open and connected with sex, even though it’s been a million years,” he told Davis, 60.

The Rules of Engagement alum noted that another reason that he and Bartlett are having “great sex” is because they both have to be on the same page.
“If she is not in the mood, if she doesn’t want to and is just doing it for charity, I’m out,” Hudson shared, adding that “you can feel” it. “I don’t want it. If she comes in like, ‘Babe, do you want to like have sex?’ I’m like, ‘No, no, no, no. This is not how I want to go about it.’ There has to be a connection there. There has to be a desire, a want.”
Hudson and Bartlett met as students in an acting class in the 90s when they both had separate partners.
“I had a girlfriend, and then she had a boyfriend, and it was about a year and a half of friendship before we actually got together,” Hudson recalled to Access Hollywood in a February 2023 interview. “But it was [a] very charged friendship. We were paired in a scene together, and immediately, it was like, ‘Oh my, God. I think I like this girl,’ but I was being a good boy.”
The couple got engaged in February 2004 and went on to tie the knot in June 2006. They welcomed sons Wilder and Bodhi in 2007 and 2010, respectively, followed by daughter Rio in 2013.

Despite their happy marriage now, Hudson and Bartlett have gone through past struggles. In April 2024, Hudson revealed that he had cheated on Bartlett after they got engaged.
“When I got engaged, something happened psychologically, and I spiraled,” he admitted during his and sister Kate Hudson’s “Sibling Revelry” podcast. “I was unfaithful, and I was cheating, and I was crazy. I never got caught. I told her everything because I couldn’t live with myself and get married and be married and have children with this sort of weight.”
Oliver added that Bartlett was an “amazing woman” as they worked through his mistake.
“I was going through whatever I was going through, and we were able to sort of [do] therapy and do all of it and get through it,” he explained.
