Trish Stratus recently appeared on Inside The Ropes. She was discussing her crazy storylines in WWE so far. Status had been someone who, according to her, was always ready to take up anything that the bosses said. However, she recalled a storyline that could have been better with her ideas.
The interviewer asked her an interesting question about a love triangle storyline featuring Triple H, Stephanie, and her, where she plays a heel. Answering this, she fast-forwarded to the times when the scene was recreated. However, according to her, it didn’t age well.
The storyline referred to is where Triple H and Trish Stratus are doing some yoga moves, and Stephanie walks in on them. This led to a major feud between Trish and Stephanie, which was settled in No Way Out in 2001. However, this yoga scene was remade with Triple H and Trish when the DX team walked in on them.
Responding to this, Stratus reveals she had different ideas that could have been a better fit.

People knew Stratus for her backstage storylines, and one of them, the yoga scene with Triple H, was remade, which was a bit awkward.
The first time Stephanie walked in on both of them, a love triangle situation was being projected. However, Stratus thought that the second time when Team DX walked in on them was poorly planned.
Talking with Inside the Ropes, she said,
“I had proposed something—tell me how this would’ve played out. I suggested that Stephanie and I could’ve been backstage, and I’d be showing her a few yoga moves, and then Triple H walked in. Wouldn’t that have been much better? Right? Like, super cute. It would’ve been one of those ‘if you know, you know’ moments. As you can tell, when I did my comeback, I loved those ‘if you know, you know’ moments.”
This could have made much sense, as it would have been a role reversal between Stephanie and Triple H, a good reference from the old times, and maybe a better connection as well.
They presented Trish Stratus with more than one storyline. It was a highly controversial one with Vince McMahon, but she dismissed the whole thing, saying,
“It’s odd, I don’t remember anything.”
Although she tried to create distance with the whole storyline with Vince McMahon, she gave some insights about backstage with Linda McMahon when she was supposed to be in the wheelchair and Trish was playing a heel. This is one of the most controversial storylines of WWE.
Vince McMahon and Trish Stratus: the storyline that went beyond the limits
A storyline that was put up multiple times by inside the ropes was her alleged affair with Vince McMahon. This was the peak of Trish Stratus as a heel. Though Stratus avoided the controversial parts of the whole storyline, she mentioned Linda and how cooperative and sweet she was even after being the CEO of the franchise and her husband having an affair storyline with Trish.
This storyline is highly controversial because Vince McMahon, an absolute genius at storylines, may have miscalculated. In the whole affair arc, there is an incident when Vince asks Trish to go on her knees and bark.
Critics interpreted it as demeaning to women, which badly damaged the WWE’s reputation. Though it was controversial, there have been many storylines with Trish Stratus that were just amazing, including her No Way Out fight with Stephanie McMahon & her beef with Lita. With all this, Trish solidified the storylines and fan appeal for women’s wrestling.
