Fans of Harry Potter had been waiting for years for a gaming experience that really immersed them in the Wizarding World and Hogwarts Legacy delivered. Despite plenty of criticism for missing features and its ties to J.K. Rowling, it became the best-selling game of 2023, but that success has not translated into much post-launch support. Updates added a smattering of new features, but Hogwarts Legacy DLC was canceled by publisher Warner Bros. Games, and the company’s reasoning is a bit frustrating.
