WWE superstar CM Punk spotted donning Celtic colours again as he trolls Rangers-daft Drew McIntyre over ‘superior team’

DREW McINTYRE claimed CM Punk could have started a riot with his antics in Glasgow at Clash at the Castle last July.

The WWE superstar was booed by 12,000 fans inside the OVO Hydro when he denied the homegrown hero a title shot in the country’s first ever premium live event.

He then rubbed salt into the wounds and trolled Rangers-daft McIntyre by wearing a Celtic tracksuit for his press conference after the big event in Glasgow.

And nine months later he’s back in the city again, wearing Celtic colours once more.

CM Punk, 46, is in Scotland for tonight’s highly-anticipated Monday night Raw show.

John Cena is the man grabbing the headlines as Scottish fans caught a glimpse of him in the ring for the last time ahead of his retirement at the end of 2025.

But he wasn’t given a welcomed reception from the thousands in attendance.

Fans still aren’t over his shock ‘heel turn’ at the WWE Elimination Chamber three weeks ago.

He was unsurprisingly jeered by the Glasgow crowd as he came face-to-face with Cody Rhodes again following that crazy night in Toronto.

CM Punk can expect a similar reception when he takes the stage tonight – from Gers fans at least.

The WWE posted video of the 46-year-old wearing a Celtic top less than an hour before the event got underway live on Netflix.

CM Punk was promoting the new Legacy Title Belts collection which was released by the WWE for pre-sale earlier this month.

A selection of top European clubs, including Celtic and Rangers, were included in the release.

Each belt features the crest and colours of one of the chosen clubs.

And to no surprise, CM Punk was donning the Hoops belt loud and proud.

He even aimed a sly dig at McIntyre and the Light Blues, hinting he was backing the “superior club” in Glasgow.

He said: “Everybody over here in Scotland loves me so it’s cool to be embraced by something so impprtant to Scottish people and Scottish culture.

“I know there’s two teams here but look at how beuatiful this is. Does Drew (McIntyre) not like Celtic? That’s too bad…which is the superiors team Drew?”
