Donald Trump Trying to Understand How Drugs Work With His “Homie” Theo Von Is the Most Mind-Boggling Thing You’ll Watch Today

Comedian Theo Von spoke with US President Donald Trump about cocaine and alcohol addiction. The politician, who admitted to never drinking and smoking, asked Von all about his journey to sobriety and the challenges he faced.

The interview was so chill that the comedian surprisingly called Trump his “homie” as if he was merely talking to a friend. Many fans praised the podcast for revealing details about the politician that they’d never heard before.

Donald Trump’s conversation with Theo Von about drugs is not what fans expected

In August 2024, President Donald Trump appeared in Theo Von’s podcast, This Past Weekend, for a wide-ranging conversation. In the middle of the interview, the politician shared the story of how his brother suffered a heart attack as a result of alcohol addiction. Trump revealed he heard people say that alcohol is tougher than drugs to get off of, which prompted Von to share his own story.

The comedian said he has been in recovery from drugs and alcohol for the last ten years. When Trump asked him why he no longer uses cocaine, Von replied, “Some of the stuff started to get a real rattle in it, too.” He said he didn’t even know where they get supplies in the country, but it started to make him feel like he was a mechanic. Trump thought it might be too much to handle.

Later in their conversation, the politician inquired if cocaine is a stronger upper, to which Von responded nonchalantly:

Cocaine will turn you into a damn owl, homie, you know what I’m saying? You’ll be out on your own porch, you’ll be your own streetlamp.

The podcast’s audience couldn’t get enough of the fact that Von called Trump his “homie” but the latter seemed not to mind it at all. When he asked if it was a good feeling, the host confessed it was horrible, but he did it anyway. Trump was clearly baffled and surprised, but nonetheless understood where Von was coming from because of his late brother’s addiction.

The interview, which was conducted before last year’s election, lasted for almost an hour with Trump and Von discussing various topics such as health care, lobbying, handling of the US-Mexico border, and even his family life.

Speaking of drugs, Trump promised to launch an investigation into the cocaine found in a locker near the Oval Office in July 2023. He called the situation a terrible thing, and he also made a shocking claim last month about who he thinks misplaced the drug (via The Spectator): “Well, either Joe or Hunter [Biden]. Could be Joe, too.”

The bins have been used by many people so it’s expected to have several fingerprints, but when the probe was done, Trump said it was “absolutely stone cold, wiped dry.” It’s hard to tell as the lockers are free to use by any guest, but a source claimed that the culprit could be someone familiar with the corners of the White House.
