There’s no denying the fact that Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is the best deal gamers can get. Many might argue that the concept of having a video game library locked behind subscription services is absolutely horrendous.
However, players get access to some of the best titles at affordable prices. Microsoft has been constantly adding titles ranging from indie hits to AAA blockbusters. However, Game Pass is taking things to the next level by bringing one of the most underrated co-op experiences.
2025’s hidden game is coming to Xbox Game Pass
Stoic Studios is a name that was known for the Banner Saga franchise. However, in 2024, the studio came out with a very different type of game: Towerborne. It was a major departure from the studio’s previous works, adopting a philosophy seen with the likes of Castle Crashers, pushing players into real-time combat and cooperative gameplay.
The game was released into Steam Early Access and proved to be a smash hit. Its combat mechanics and breathtaking visuals got gamers excited for more. However, gamers couldn’t help but wonder when they’ll be able to play the title on their Xbox consoles and Game Pass. Now, it looks like all their prayers have been answered.

Xbox has revealed that Towerborne will finally be available for gamers on Xbox Series S/X consoles, Windows PC via the Xbox app, and, most crucially, Game Pass on April 29th 2025. That’s not all; Towerborne will get a bunch of new features to celebrate the launch on Xbox.
These include things such as cross-platform play, progression between Xbox and PC consoles, couch co-op, and brand-new class skills. Developers have also heard the feedback from Early Access and remade the entire map to bring more refined questlines.
More games are coming to Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass receives two waves every month. Each of them adds a number of different games to enjoy. Xbox Wire has given us a look at what games are coming next for the month of March and when players can expect to see them on the Microsoft service.
On March 18th, Xbox added 33 Immortals as a day-one title. It’s a co-op action game for 33 players, where gamers must fight as a damned soul and fend off against God’s judgment. Then, on March 19th, Octopath Traveler II will be hitting Game Pass Standard. It’s a critically acclaimed entry where players must explore the lands and adventure.
On March 19th, we’ll also receive Train Sim World 5, where gamers must master the tracks and trains of a number of iconic cities. On March 20th, Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island will be making its debut on the subscription service. Moving to 25th March, Blizzard Arcade Collection, containing classics of the studio, will also hit the service.
The biggest addition will undoubtedly be Rebellion’s Atomfall, which debuts on Game Pass on March 27th. It’s a survival action game that’s inspired by real-life events and takes place five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster that happened in Northern England.
