RAIL DELAYS

There are a number of train delays for Irish Rail passengers this morning.

The 6.40am Sligo to Connolly service was seven minutes behind due schedule to an operational issue.

And the 7am Cork to Heuston service was operating 17 minutes behind schedule due to a “mechanical issue onboard”.

However, the service terminated at Limerick Junction as a result.

Irish Rail posted on social media to alert passengers stating: “The 07:00 Cork/Heuston service will terminate at Limerick Jct.

“Passengers will be accommodated on the 07:45 Limerick/Heuston service. Delays may be experienced through Limerick Jct as a result.”
