Pattinson pointed out that he has fun changing his accents for different roles, and it also helps with his insecurity.
Pattinson stated:
I’ve always been uncomfortable with the idea of acting with my real accent. So I have fun changing it. If it also amuses people, that they make memes about it, that’s pretty cool
The actor also explained that changing his accent is not only fun for him but for the audience as well. He pointed out that if it entertains people to the level where they start making fun of it and make it go viral, it works in his favor.
Pattinson has had to change his accent multiple times. From playing Edward Cullen in Twilight to saving Gotham in Matt Reeves’ The Batman, he has had a variety of roles, and he has nailed almost every one of them.
