A BALDING man has quit his job over a “botched hair transplant” because he is too embarrassed to be seen.
Mark Sweeney says his life has been “destroyed” following the procedure at the Merchant City Medical centre in Glasgow.

The 57-year-old decided to have the surgery done in the UK after hearing horror stories of bodge jobs abroad.
But he claims the hair transplant left him with a large scarred area of skin across the top of his forehead.
Mark also says the results of the failed treatment have left him unable to work as a waiter at Glasgow’s Buttery restaurant.
He claims this is because he can no longer face the public and needs to cover his forehead.
He told The Daily Record: “They’ve ruined my life, absolutely ruined and destroyed my life and I can’t do anything about it.”
Mark continued: “It’s like a horror story from Turkey. I just wear a hat all the time now.
“I can’t speak to people or look them in the eye because I feel as though they are looking at my head.”
Mark says he paid £3,500 for the procedure and alleges he was left with a bald chunk on the side of his head where grafts were taken.
He also claims he is now on medication because the hair transplant has left him with anxiety and depression.
The clinic’s website states: “Merchant City Medical Group specialise in using the most advanced technologies for both FUE & FUT Hair Transplants.
“This ensures that our experienced surgeons use a safe and painless method whilst providing the best possible, lifelong results for our patients.”
They also offer a number of other hair treatments including scalp pigmentation and PRP (latelet-rich plasma).
Mark claims the surgeons inserted the grafts “too deeply” and left him with “a ridge of lumps and bumps”.
He has warned others against using the company and advised to think twice about getting the surgery done even in the UK.
Mark says he is now saving money to have his hairline fixed at a clinic in the US.
Merchant City Medical’s CEO Paul Mulholland told the Record that Mark had been a patient at their facility.
He added: “Mark turned up at our office yesterday and was told to leave.”
The Sun has contacted Merchant City Medical Group for comment.
