IRISH middle-distance star Mark English produced a stunning performance to claim bronze in the men’s 800m final at the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn.
The Donegal man, a seasoned championship performer, battled through a fiercely competitive field to secure his third European indoor medal, adding to his previous successes in 2015 (silver) and 2019 (bronze).
English, 30, delivered a typically measured race, positioning himself perfectly before unleashing his trademark late surge down the home straight.
