Who is Lee Mack’s wife Tara McKillop?
Lee is married to wife Tara McKillop, having tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in 2005.
The couple met while they were both studying at Brunel University in 1996, however, Lee has previously said that some people have assumed they didn’t meet until his rise to fame.
He explained on a podcast: “We talked the other day with Roisin Conaty. Her sister met Tara and said ‘I assume you two have been together after you became a comedian and got a bit of money.’
”And I said ‘No, no, we met before I ever was a comedian when we were at university.’ And she looked aghast at why this woman would be with me.
“And do you know what she said? ‘Did you save her life or something?’ I thought that’s an incredibly bold statement to make after five minutes of meeting someone.”
Family life
Lee and Tara share three children – sons Arlo and Louie, as well as a daughter named Millie.
Arlo, the couple’s eldest child, was born a year before Lee and Tara tied the knot, and the pair later welcomed Louie and Millie.
Although Lee prefers to keep his family life out of the spotlight, two of his kids have appeared on screen.
Arlo briefly appeared in the 2013 Christmas special of Not Going Out, and their daughter, Millie, appeared in the Not Going Out episode “Friend” of the twelfth series.
Lee Mack has written and starred in the sitcom Not Going Out since it launched in 2006.
In 2017, the comedian admitted the show is loosely based on his own family life.
Talking to Radio Times, Lee said: “The truth is I just wanted to write a sitcom about what I am in real life, which is a husband and dad of three kids.
“It allows me to tap into stories that have an element of truth. It also means that when stuff happens to me in real life, I don’t get angry about it, I just write it down and use it.”
Despite appearing on the long-running sitcom, Lee revealed that his kids aren’t ” really bothered” about tuning in.

He added: “They’re really not bothered whether it’s on or not. My wife doesn’t really watch it and although my eldest has just started to, it’s not his favourite show by a long way – and why would it be?”
