Dante is a member of the Dark Triad and holds a significant amount of strength. Yami and Asta had to combine their strengths to momentarily defeat him. Thus, no one had expected another Black Bull member to murk the demon host. Taking place during the Spade Kingdom Raid arc, the battle proved the fatal strength and determination of Magna.
From the very beginning, Magna used his Soul Chain Deathmatch which evenly divided Date’s magic power between him and Magna. After that, Magna straight-up punches Dante as brutally as possible. Due to his halved magic, Dante can feel the attacks taking him apart, bringing utmost satisfaction to fans.
Black Clover season 5 needs to happen for the sake of Magna Vs. Dante
Dante had previously promised that he would not use his magic against Magna to give him a bit of advantage. However, as the intensity of Magna’s attacks increased, Dante had to take back his words and try his best to beat the Black Bull knight. It is one of the only fights in which pure physical prowess is displayed to decide the winner.
Magna punching Dante till he is bleeding and missing a few teeth was obviously the highlight of the entire sequence. But the reason why this battle deserves to get animated is because it shows how Yuki Tabata has paid attention to some of the side characters as well.
The Spade Kingdom Raid arc is full of battles that highlight minor characters, along with major ones. The Black Bulls, as well as other magic knights, get significant attention and their own development arcs, making the saga a fan favorite. While Black Clover season 5’s status is still uncertain, it would be a huge disservice to fans if the series ends up canceled.
