AN elderly woman died after getting stuck in a set of tram doors – as cops release CCTV and urge any witnesses to come forward.
The 88-year-old was found dead on February 22 – a week after the incident on February 14.
Police are now searching for a witness who helped the woman after she became stuck at around 10am.
They believe he has “key information” that could assist the investigation.
In a statement the force said: “The initial incident happened at around 10am on Friday 14 February 2025 on Oldham Central Bee Network tram stop, our officers would now like to identify and speak to a key witness they have identified.
“The man pictured is not a suspect in this investigation and at the time enquiries have uncovered he helped the 88-year-old woman after she got stuck in the tram doors when it was stationary.
“She was sadly found deceased a week later on Saturday 22 February 2025.”
