MAURA Higgins was battling a crippling company debt of £678,000 before her Jungle stint – and she’s spent the last year hustling to get her firm out of the red.
It comes as the 34-year-old appeared to share a brief drunken kiss with married I’m A Celebrity campmate Danny Jones, 38, at a Brit Awards after-party on Saturday night (March 1).

Maura, who shot to fame on the fifth series of ITV2’s Love Island in 2019, released accounts for her ‘media representation’ company shortly before the awards.
Named The Flutter Effect Ltd, the Love Island alumni is the sole director and likely uses it to manage income from her social media and telly gigs.
It is named after her infamous catchphrase describing having a crush on someone – “fanny flutters”.
Files show that Maura’s company ended its latest reported financial year in £677,868 debt.
The company owed £58,481 in corporation tax, £71,215 in other taxation and social security, and £548,172 to other creditors in the year to November 2023.
This had increased even further from £556,904 in the previous financial year.
The accounts also showed that Maura’s total equity in The Flutter Effect Ltd had decreased by £64,897 in the space of the year.
She had £152,634 equity in the financial year to November 2022, but this had dropped £87,737 by November 2023.
Her cash at bank and in hand also dropped to £394,384 from £508,126 in that time – a total reduction of £113,742.
Maura elected not to include a copy of the profit and loss account within her financial statements.
The documents were filed onto Companies House on February 20, shortly before she appeared to kiss McFly man Danny during a night out after the Brit Awards.
The pair met while filming the latest series of ITV’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in November last year, following which Danny was crowned King of the Jungle.
He is said to have held crunch talks with his wife Georgia Horsley after the video of him appearing to kiss Maura was released.
Insiders said that the couple had spoken about the incident and were keen to “move on with their lives”.
Hustling Out of The Red
Sources close to Maura have revealed at the time of her I’m A Celeb stint that she had telly and brand deals in the pipeline for after the show which were worth around £1.5 million.
The Sun was told: “Beauty brands, fashion labels and TV execs in the UK and US are already queuing up to work with her. She’s had some incredible offers.
“This next chapter is going to be huge for her. She’s excited about the opportunities coming her way.”
And the rumours were true, as Maura went on to secure partnership deals with make-up giant Mac, health brand Alo and fast fashion label Oh Polly.

It is unclear exactly how much the Love Island USA After Sun host charges to promote brands to her 4.1 million Instagram followers, but some reports claim it could be as high as £31,000.
Maura also has a dormant company listed on Companies House called False Flutter Lashes Ltd.
It was incorporated in November 2020 for ‘wholesale of perfume and cosmetics’ but is yet to report active accounts.
Showbiz insiders claim that Maura is currently being courted by Celebs Go Dating bosses, who are desperate to sign her up following her boozy kiss – which could see her rake in another tasty payday.
Bigwigs at Channel 4 reckon her on-screen return would be TV gold, and sources say the kiss has only made producers more determined to get her on the next series of the E4 dating show.
A source told The Sun: “Since she’s found herself back in the headlines after appearing to share a drunken kiss with Danny Jones at the Brits, they are hell-bent on signing her up as they know it would be a huge talking point for the show.”
