If there is one thing that can make or break your outfits, it has got to be your shoes. As the foundation of your look, the right footwear can basically take your appearance to the next level, and who would know this better than sneakerheads who know the A-Z of the sneaker world? Just ask Ben Affleck! Whether it is obsessing over the OG Jordans from 1985 or owning a pair of sneakers worth a whopping $280K, Ben Affleck has proven that he isn’t here to play around.

While attending the ultimate sneaker convention, Got Sole, Ben Affleck’s obsession over sneakers was quite evident from how he reacted to some of the best pieces to come out of the industry. What’s more interesting is that his son, Samuel, shares the same love as his father.
Ben Affleck goes shopping for sneakers at ‘Got Sole’

From Soulja Boy to Meek Mill, Got Sole has been attended by many die-hard sneakerheads over the years so it only makes sense that Ben Affleck would pay the convention a visit in Los Angeles.
Browsing through the different stalls, Affleck and Samuel found themselves some goodies that they just had to add to their collections. Unfortunately for the young boy, a pair he had been eyeing for the entire event was just out of his budget, yes, even if he is the Batman’s son.
The sneakers in question were the classic Jordan 1 Retro Dior Men’s, made with premium materials in Italy. When Affleck tried to reason with his son saying, “You like those because they’re expensive,” the young sneakerhead replied, “No, they’re tough! I always said they look good!” Looks like the actor has taught him well.
Unfortunately, they were a little on the pricier side for Samuel – a size 8 for a whopping $6000. Like Affleck said, “That’s a lot of lawns you gotta mow there.” Even the teenager agreed that the price tag was simply too much for him at the moment.
Browsing through the convention, they came across the 1985 Bred Jordan 1s – a pair which has been a staple in the fans’ collections across the globe. That certainly caught his eye. While he doesn’t own a pair today, he did have one with his brother, Casey Affleck, when the shoe first came out. Needless to say, the Air actor is not pretending to be a fan, he practically invented the word “sneakerhead.”
Take a look at some of the moments from the Got Sole convention:

As for his favorite sneaker of all time, Affleck couldn’t come up with a pair on the spot stating, “You know, I can’t just pick just one! Depends on day to day.” Luckily, his son was right there to help him out, reminding him about his love for the Nike SB Dunk Low “De La Soul.”
Ben Affleck owns a pair of sneakers worth $280K

By now, Affleck’s fans are well aware of the actor’s stunning sneaker collection but even they were shocked when he walked out sporting the Nike SB Dunk Low “What the Dunk.” A one of a kind pair, the What the Dunk are a franken-pair, made up of mismatched graphics.
What’s interesting is that these graphics aren’t just randomized. Each of the panels is taken from 31 other SB Dunks to create one perfect pair. From the 03’s eBay Dunk to 04’s Tie-Dye, the sneaker has got it all.
Needless to say, this particular pair of sneakers was going to retail for a hefty price, but we would never have thought that it would go up to almost $300K! First released in 2007, the sneakers are listed for $280L on StockX at the moment (size US 13), as per GQ.
Here are some other honorable mentions from his collection:
