SHANE LOWRY and Rory McIlroy have been paired together for the first two rounds of the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The $20m Signature event gets underway on Thursday at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida in the second event of the Florida Swing.


McIlroy beat Lowry to a recent victory at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Lowry also had a top-15 finish at the Cognizant Classic last weekend.
Holywood hotshot McIlroy won the API at Bay Hill in 2016, while Offaly ace Lowry finished third there last year, behind Wyndham Clark and winner Scottie Scheffler.
Their pairing will delight fans after the duo’s appearance on the Netflix Full Swing series – where the production crew followed the Irish Olympic duo as they secured victory at the Zurich Classic last season – the PGA Tour’s only team event.
Offaly ace Lowry is also eyeing a decent week as he’s on the verge of surpassing his best event OWGR position, while world number three McIlroy is not far behind Xander Schauffele in second position.
Lowry and pal McIlory with the get their API underway at 6pm GMT on Thursday before taking to the course of Friday at 2:45pm GMT for round 2.
The tournament runs from March 6 to 9 with the winner set to net a whopping $4m.
It’s the second week of four consecutive weeks in Florida with the feature at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
Located southwest of downtown Orlando, Florida, the fourth Signature Event of the 2025 season features a field of 72 players.
Scottie Scheffler is once again favourite to take the event after his stunning win last year.
