A MAJOR US rock band have confirmed their first gigs in the UK in six years.
Thrash metal rockers Slayer will be playing two headline gigs this July as well as joining the line-up of Black Sabbath’s final ever concert.

Their impending concerts will be their biggest headline shows ever in the UK as well as being their only live gigs across the whole of Europe this year.
Slayer will be taking to the stage at Cardiff’s Blackweir Fields on July 3rd and London’s Finsbury Park on July 6th for the shows.
As well as that, they will be appearing in Birmingham to join Ozzy Osbourne and his band Black Sabbath for their special gig at Villa Park.
The outdoor gigs mark the first time that the metal band have performed on British soil since 2019.
Slayer will also be joined on stage by five special guest acts.
Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed and Neckbreakker will be among the supporting line-up for the shows.
Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday, 7th March.
For fans who have already managed to purchase gigs to the final Black Sabbath gig then you will be in luck at already getting the chance to see Slayer.
Slayer last shared the stage with Ozzy’s band at the OzzFest in 1998 and 2004.
Last month, Ozzy confirmed he would play his final ever gig as he continues to battle a series of health woes.
The one-off gig on July 5, called Back To The Beginning, is being dubbed “the greatest heavy metal show ever” and will see Ozzy play a short set before reuniting with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward.
It will be the first time the original line-up of Black Sabbath have performed together in 20 years.
Ozzy, 76, has vowed it will be his final performance due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he went public with in 2020.
