The Undertaker: “I think he should be in there” on the One WWE Legend Who Deserves John Cena’s Sendoff Apart From CM Punk and Randy Orton

15-time WWE world champion and one of the greatest wrestlers to step into the squared circle, the Undertaker, was left impressed by John Cena’s retirement tour. The Deadman went on to name three WWE legends who he thinks deserve a similar kind of send-off.

In a recent episode of ‘SHAK Wrestling’, the Undertaker named Randy Orton, CM Punk, and, surprisingly, Paul Heyman as the WWE legends who should get a farewell as splendid and noteworthy as John Cena’s.

Why is Paul Heyman on the Undertaker’s list?

The first two names on the list are expected, but keeping Paul Heyman on the list surprised many WWE fans. Though Heyman is not a wrestler, his contribution towards WWE‘s success has earned him a spot on this list.

Paul Heyman has served as a manager for a record seven WWE world champions: the Undertaker, Big Show, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, and Roman Reigns. Besides these big names, Heyman has managed many other notable WWE superstars.

The Deadman appreciated all three of them for their illustrious and storied careers in the WWE, he went on to praise Heyman for his longevity and influence on many generations.

In an interview with Shakiel Mahjouri, The Undertaker stated-

I would say Punk would probably be one of those. I don’t know how long Heyman plans on hanging around, but I mean I think he has done enough for enough talent that I think he should be in there.

The Undertaker continued,

I mean I don’t know who else is out there that may be retiring anytime soon, maybe Randy, yeah. If Randy wraps it up, I mean Randy deserves that yeah, you definitely want to see them get their flowers and say their goodbyes.

Though these stars have still not confirmed the timeline of their retirement, this statement from The Undertaker reflects the amount of respect he has for these absolute legends of the show.

‘The American Badass’ also took time to appreciate Cena for his immense contribution towards the success of WWE in the last two decades and claimed that his retirement tour will pave the way for similar future retirements.

I think its great that they’re doing this tour the way they are. I don’t think everybody deserves that. I think Cena definitely does because of the work horse that he was for so long. I think it’s great, because people will have an opportunity to know where he’s going to be, and you’re going to get one last opportunity, maybe, to see him alive. I think that’s pretty cool.

Sadly, the Undertaker himself did not get the send-off he deserved. He had to retire in an empty arena with just screens staring at him during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maybe that’s why he is demanding for a proper farewell for these WWE legends.
