Ghana’s Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has attended the funeral of the late H.E. Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma.
H.E. Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma was the founding president of Namibia.
In a post announcing her presence at the funeral, Prof.Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang in a post shared via social media said “I traveled to Namibia to attend the state funeral of the founding President, H.E. Dr. Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma. His passing is a great loss, not only to Namibia, but to the entire African continent.
Dr. Nujoma was a visionary leader whose unwavering dedication to Namibia’s independence and development remains an inspiration. His legacy of resilience, patriotism, and Pan-Africanism will continue to guide generations.
On behalf of the government and people of Ghana, I extend our deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Nujoma, the government, and the people of Namibia. May his soul rest in perfect peace”.
