‘Gone but not forgotten’ – Golf fans saddened by Tiger Woods Seminole Pro-Member score as final results revealed

TIGER WOODS was back in action at yesterday’s Seminole Pro-Member event.

The 15-time major champion, 49, played for the first time since last year’s Open.

Woods partnered former PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh in the prestigious 94-team pro-am.

Taking place at the highly-discreet Seminole Golf Club in South Florida, the event was not televised.

But as news of the scores emerged, fans were left disappointed by Woods’ performance.

The gross format, Woods and Waugh finished tied for 54th after posting a 1-under 71, per Yip Strickler.

In the net format, which takes into account the amateur’s handicaps, the duo were 26th with a 67.

Commenting on Woods’ score, one fan wrote on social media: “Looks like Tiger’s team didn’t break par 72! Gone but not forgotten!”

While a second joked: “Better field than all LIV events!”

Woods was part of a star-studded lineup at Seminole which included the likes of Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Ernie Els and Tom Brady.

The gross title was won by Bill Davis and Billy Horschel, while Ryan Fox and Jimmy Dunne III took home the net title.

Woods is not taking part in the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week.

He had been signed up to make his return to action at the Genesis Invitational last month, only to withdraw following the sad death of his mother Kultida aged 81.

Woods could make his PGA Tour return at the Players Championship, which starts on March 13.

If not, he is expected to play at the Masters in April.

Woods will be eligible to take part in Augusta due to being a former champion.
