POLICE are hunting a sick predator who sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl near a primary school.
The innocent victim was walking along a public footpath in Winsford, Cheshire, when the man targeted her.
The horrific attack unfolded near Over Hall Primary School at 3.30pm on November 16, 2023.
It sparked a huge investigation after it was reported in December 2024.
Cops have now revealed a vital clue that could help bring the paedophile to justice.
The suspect was described as having a tattoo on his wrist – which has been drawn up.
The tattoo looks like a symbol – a long, thick, curved line surrounded by dots on each side.
As well as the marking, the suspect is said to have been a tall white man with broad shoulders and possibly with ginger arm hair.
He wore dark clothing and had his hood up at the time of the offence.
The man was also described as smelling of cigarettes.
Detective Constable Felicity Gregory, of Northwich Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, said: “I understand the concern that this incident is likely to cause, and I would like to reassure residents that we are doing all we can to trace the person responsible.
“The victim in the case is being provided with specialist support and as part of our investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.”
