Gardai appeal for public’s assistance in tracing man, 42, missing from Limerick since Monday

GARDAI are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man who has been missing since Monday.

Michael Hourigan, 42, has been missing from Limerick since Monday February 24, 2025.

He was last seen around 10pm in the Dooradoyle area of Limerick.

Michael is described as being just over 6 foot in height, with a medium build, grey hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, along with a black and grey wool hat.

He is known to frequent the Charleville area.

Gardai are now seeking the public’s assistance in tracing his whereabouts.

Both his family and Gardai are concerned for his wellbeing.

Anyone with information on Michael’s whereabouts is asked to contact Roxboro Road Street Garda Station on 061 214 340, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

The reference number is PR24027/2025.

Just yesterday, Gardai put out an appeal for information on another missing man.

Gardai issued a public appeal for assistance in locating a man, 24, missing from Dublin since the weekend.


Eamon Tsekiri was last seen at around 5am on Sunday morning in the Sheriff Street and IFSC areas of the city.

The 24-year-old is described as being six-foot tall with a slim build.

He has black hair and brown eyes.

Both Gardai and the young man’s family are concerned for his well-being.

In a statement a Garda spokesperson said: “Gardai are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Eamon Tsekiri (24) who is reported missing from the Sheriff Street Dublin 1 area since Sunday 23rd February 2025.

“Eamon was last seen at approximately 5:00am on Sunday morning in the Sheriff Street and IFSC areas of Dublin 1.

“Eamon is described as being approximately six foot in height, of slim build with black hair and brown eyes.

“Gardai and Eamon’s family are concerned for his well-being.”

They have issued an appeal for anyone with information to contact them.

This can be done at any Garda station.

The garda spokesperson added: “Anyone with information on Eamon’s whereabouts is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on (01) 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
